Call of Duty Black Ops will be the latest installment in Activision’s immensely popular Call of Duty series. The game is planned to be released on PS3, XBOX360, the Wii, Nintendo DS and PC.

The release date is scheduled for 9th November 2010. However, much of the game has already been developed.

The setting of the game is in the Cold War. In fact, Call of Duty games have been set in many different times — the first took place in World War 2, while others like Modern Warfare 2 (the current game in the series) took place in a modern setting.

Hopefully we will see some innovative new weapons and features. One new weapon we’ve heard about that will hopefully make an appearance is a scoped-crossbow that fires explosive arrows, which should be interesting.

PC based gamers will get dedicated game servers and hence the fun would be restored for them as well. Call of Duty: Black Ops will take players in the time settings post World War II and present day. Without much jibber jabber, just watch the full uncut trailer of the game.
